FAQ

When is the best time to photography my newborn baby?

The best time to photograph a newborn baby is when they are 5-10 days old. After this time, newborn babies are a little harder to settle and things like colic and baby acne can start to flare up. It is best to book as soon as possible to secure your booking. You can contact me at any time during your pregnancy to give me an estimated due date. After I will make a tentative booking and when you arrive home from the hospital with your baby you can contact me to arrange a suitable time and day for your session.

Have you been immunized against whooping cough?

I understand the concern for new mothers and their new bub’s health, therefore I have been immunized against whooping cough.

Where will the photography session be?

All sessions are held in your home or outside on location. There will be a travel charge if you are over a 30km radius from North Lakes.

How long does the newborn photography session take?

Newborn Photography Sessions can take 2-4hours, allowing enough time for feeding and comforting.

What props do you have?

I have a wonderful variety of beautiful newborn photography props like bowls, beds, crates, beanies, flower crowns, etc.

When do we choose our images?

Within 14 days I will send you an online gallery to your email where you can choose your final edited images.

How many images will I receive?

The number of images you receive will depend on the collection you choose but normally anywhere from 20-50.

Can I receive my images unedited/'RAW'?

No. The subtle editing that I do to your images is part of my artistic style & therefore I am unable to supply unedited files, as is the case with all respected professional photographers.

Do I receive all images taken on the day?

No. I sort through your images and pick the best images from the day. Depending on what collection you chose this could be anywhere from 20-50 images.

What is the turn-around time?

After choosing your images on your online gallery, your images will be ready in 1-2 weeks or 4-6 weeks if you have printed products.

Do we have to pay a deposit to make a booking?

Yes. We are very busy and only take a certain amount of bookings per month so to lock in your allocated month we need a non-refundable booking fee. This is 50% of the collection price you decide to choose. Payment will be made via PayPal when booking your time slot in our calendar.

When and how do we have to pay the remaining balance?

The remaining balance is required to be paid 24 hours prior to your session. Payment can be made by Bank Transfer, cash or credit card (please note: there is a 2% surcharge on all credit card transactions).

HOW IT WORKS

Are you after some beautiful newborn photos to remember this special time in your lives? If you answered yes… DONT wait to book your session!!

I only take a certain amount of bookings per month. This allows a little room for rescheduling as we don’t know when our little ones will arrive. The best thing to do is to book your “tentative” session a week after your due date, and if your newborn bubs arrive sooner or later we can reschedule to a better date. I have found it best to photograph newborns within those first 9 days.
